Coram Beanstalk initiative

During the past couple of years we have built excellent working partnerships in the local community with both Lark Hall Primary School in Stockwell and Trinity St Mary’s Primary School in Balham.

The projects and activities that the children and teachers have been involved with have been hugely beneficial to all parties and our links will continue to grow stronger as a result.

We are proud to continue contributing to the Coram Beanstalk reading programme, a charity which visits Hillbrook Primary School in Tooting to develop young readers in Key Stages 1 and 2.

Our three chosen charities last year were Cure Leukaemia, Yellow Ball Foundation and Tommy’s. Children enjoyed learning about the aims of the charity which they were helping and raised funds through a number of exciting activities.

This year we are excited to become a Partner School of United World Schools and will be working towards building a successful partnership with a school in rural Cambodia. It will be a further enrichment of our pupils’ Hornsby House education to see the difference that they are able to make, even from a significant distance, and how they are able to engage with a school that is so different from theirs.
